Dark greenish black crystals of Fornacite to 1.6 mm. The species was first recognized in the 1950’s from Tiger, when a single pocket was discovered containing some of the world’s largest Fornacite crystals associated with Wulfenite and etched white Fluorite. The crystals depicted in the image reside, along with hundreds of others, on a small cabinet sized example from that original pocket. Jack Parnau purchased the specimen in 1956 from Scott J. Williams for the tidy sum at that time of $12.50. Robert O. Meyer collection and photograph.
