Lustrous bladed crystals to 0.6 mm. This crystal cluster is present on a superb small cabinet-sized example of this very rare species. The only find of Fuloppite from this, the type locality, occurred in March 1928. The find consisted of approximantely 120 small pieces that were not offered for sale by the original discoverer. In 1970, his belongings, including the specimens, were sold. (Kipfer, Alexander, “The Zurich Show-1975,” Mineralogical Record, Vol. 7, pg 140.) Shortly thereafter, in 1971, this specimen was purchased by the Geological Survey of Canada from Minerals Unlimited. It was one of three specimens in the collection, number 15555, and the identity of Fuloppite was confirmed by x-ray diffraction—analysis X-43472. Later, Rob W. M. Woodside, Ph.D, obtained it in trade. Robert O. Meyer, in whose collection it now resides, obtained it from him. R.O. Meyer photograph.
