Locality:
Vesper Peak, Sultan Basin, Sultan District, Snohomish Co., Washington, USA
The specimen was mined by Bart Cannon at his "Vesper Garnet" claim some years ago. Clinozoisite is found throughout the east side of the skarn, almost always as vug filling material. Light honey yellow in color, the crystals range from delicate prismatic individuals, such as the one shown here, to thickened clusters with parallel twinning. Photomicrograph © Saul Krotki 2007 (.0806.1). The crystal measures 1.2 mm in length. Krotki Micromount Collection.
