Locality: Fogle Quarry, Ottawa, Franklin Co., Kansas, USA

An excellent specimen of rhombic calcite with brown limonite surface staining with scattered micro chalcopyrite crystals. Calcite visible under staining fluoresces orange under UV illumination. Mounted in box for protection. Ex. R. Bates Collection #1310. Overall size of mineral specimen: 5.5x5.5x3 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5 mm.
