2.5 cm partial crystal of weathered gadolinite on microcline self-collected in August of 2005 from the Petrick Pegmatite in Llano County, Texas. Also visible in this specimen are dark brick-red patches of thorogummite on the matrix beneath the left side of the crystal and a pinkish-white encrustation of behoite (beryllium hydroxide) beneath the right side.
