Palabora mine (Foscor open pit; PMC mine), Loolekop, Phalaborwa, Limpopo Province, South Africa
4 x 2.6 x 2.4 cm specimen hosting a 1 cm, lustrous and semi-transparent crystal of reddish brown chondrodite. Crystals of this quality are very rare for this species. Associated minerals include magnetite and muscovite.
