Locality: Fanwood Quarry (Fanwood Stone Crushing and Quarry Co. Quarry; Fanwood Crushed Stone Co. Quarry; Scotch Plains Quarry; Weldon Quarry), Watchung, Somerset Co., New Jersey, USA

Here we have a gigantic 4 1/2 x 3 1/4 inch golden Calcite on Prehnite after Glauberite from the Weldon Crushed Stone Quarry in Fanwood, New Jersey. The overall specimen measures 6 x 5 3/4 inches. The calcite is unusually large for this locale. Specimen sold.
