Locality: Kidder Lane amethyst locality, Southborough, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, USA

Plate of colorless quartz crystals to 10 mm long rich overgrowth of deep purple amethyst crystals up to 12 mm diameter. From a one-time find discovered in a housing development. One of the best specimens I was able to obtain. Collected in 2000.. Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x4x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5-15 mm.
