Locality: Sweet Home Mine (Home Sweet Home Mine), Mount Bross, Alma District, Park Co., Colorado, USA

An old-time specimen from the famous Sweet Home Mine: large rhombic pink rhodochrosite crystals up to 3 cm on edge in pyrite-rich matrix. The rhodochrosites vary from red to lighter pink where fractured. Originally acquired from R. Hauck in 1974 for $75. Ex. Dr. E. Sensel collection #B1 450. Overall size of mineral specimen: 11x8x6 cm. Size of individual crystals: 1-3 cm.
