Large red Almandine Garnet, a single complex crystal measuring 1.5 inch across, in pegmatite matrix. Specimen from Deshong's Quarry, Leiperville, Ridley Township, Delaware Co., Pennsylvania (Dana locale). These large red garnets are well noted at many localities throughout Delaware County. Older collection specimen, acquired from the Jay Lininger collection. Specimen size: 11.5 x 9.5cm. From the PA Annex of my personal collection, acquired in 2005.
