Regional Report: Aït Ahmane, Bou Azzer District, Tazenakht, Ouarzazate Province, Souss-Massa-Draâ Region, Morocco

Cobalt-rich mineralizations in lenses within calcite deposits along faults in Precambrian II serpentinized ultrabasic ophiolitic rocks. Presence of cobaltoan garnierites, formed during an early low-T hydrothermal event, in tectonic cracks of the serpentinites. The garnierites are cross-cutted by arseniates (annabergite, haidingerite) veinlets with late filling of calcite + automorph quartz and heterogenite.
