Regional Report: Alto Chapare District, Chapare Province, Cochabamba Department, Bolivia

30 square km area of slightly metamorphosed saltdome caprock (evaporite) with entrained clasts of highly altered sedimentary and alkaline volcanic rocks. Remains of 24 asbestos mines, 5 dolomite quarries and 1 magnesite quarry.
