Type Occurrence of Shirokshinite
General Appearance of Type Material:
Hexagonal, prismatic, typically skeletal crystals, up to 0.8 × 1 × 2.5 mm, and grouped in sheaf-like clusters up to 2.5 mm.
Place of Conservation of Type Material:
Fersman Mineralogical Museum of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow (registration record no. 2786/1).
Geological Setting of Type Material:
Late hydrothermal mineral and occurs in a small hyperalkaline pegmatite embedded in ristschorrite near the contact with nepheline-apatite rock.
