Name:After Ernst Friedrich Glocker (1783-1858), German mineralogist.


A hydrated basic sulphate of ferric iron. Ill-defined with analyzes that vary widely. May best be regarded as an impure, hardened gel-mass of indefinate composition. Results from the oxidation of iron sulphides.
