Several intergrown golden-yellow cubes of Fluorite, the largest measuring 26mm along the edge. The cubes are sharp, transparent with a matt lustre, and free of matrix. Small rounded brown crystals of Siderite to 1mm are sparsely scattered over the cubes. One crystals has a fine purple growth phantom within the outer 1mm of the cube.

Dimensions: 6.7 cm x 5.7 cm x 4.6 cm

A fine, very nearly pristine cluster of transparent and lustrous, golden-amber fluorite cubes to 1.7 cm on matrix from Aouli, Morocco. The minor bit of periphery damage is certainly not detracting. 6.7 x 5.7 x 4.6 cm

W9A-5JPFluorite : CaF2, Quartz : SiO2

Aouli, Upper Moulouya lead district, Midelt, Khénifra Province, Meknès-Tafilalet Region, Morocco

Specimen of yellow interlocking fluorite cubes up to 4,4cm are associated with small quartz crystals up to 1cm, which in turn are sparsely covered by an iron oxyde (limonite?).

The cores of the fluorite crystals are clouded, while the corners and edges appear gemmy and translucent. The crystal faces seem to be partially dissolved by approximately 5mm, leaving a "sunken" surface within the crystal. In turn these sunken crystal faces show a disinct pattern of "heights and lows", which can be compared to a modern cities skyline.

One or two corners of one of the smaller cubes seem to be cleaved, however this is hard to say with the level of "edging" going on. The rest of the specimen appears to be damage free.

Fluorite on Dolomite from Aouli, Mibladen, Midelt

A very elegant example and different from the ones we normally see from Aouli. On a bed of small crystals of Dolomite there is a group of very well defined crystals of yellow Fluorite, which have contrasting zones of violet.

Druse of transparent cubic crystals. They have an intense yellow color and are more isolated and aerial than is usual with most of the samples from the locality. We especially note the contrast between the yellow color of the crystals and the orange tone of the inclusions in the Quartz matrix.
