A 1,15 mm white, crystalline grain of dalyite with minor, brown janhaugite. Dalyite has only been found in a small area within the janhaugite locality, and it is found on or very near janhaugite grains. Old postcard ca. 1900. The mine was operated in two periods: 1882-1901 by Compagnie Francaise des Mines de Bamble, and 1933-1940 by AS Bleka gruber.
At top production the mine employed 80 persons. Only a few kg gold became the result of for the time a large investment.

For some weeks during the summer of 2005, collectors could enter the quarry and dig in the old dumps - normally laying inaccessable under water. After a couple of months the water level was back to normal.
