Williams Stone Quarry (Trevassack Quarry), Goonhilly Downs, Mawgan-in-Meneage, Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall, England, UK View into the quarry. The native copper recovered in the late 1990's came from a fracture zone near the top of the wall in the center of the picture. The specimens I did collect in 2002 came from an outcrop at about half height of the wall to the right, near the top of the gorse-covered slope. P Haas photograph, May 2005. |
