View from the 'base' level Oct 2007

Hendersons Quarry, Mt. Ngongotaha, Rotorua, Bay of Plenty, North Island, New Zealand

Taken during the 2007 N.Z. Micro-mineral Symposium field trip, 21 October. Osumilite was found about 40 metres to the right of the cars visible parked on an upper level. Some good specimens of other minerals have been recovered from the crushed metal piles on occasion, but most collecting is done on the higher levels.
