Ore stringer.

Malachite formation around an ore stringer in the roof of a stope off the main adit close to the mine entrance. The dumps at Virtuous Lady mine, looking northward with the Tamar river to the left. The dumps contain a variety of material, however where these have fallen into the river the shales have been washed away leaving lumps of mineral rich (pyrite, arsenopyrite) material the size of footballs.
