The entrance to the #4 Adit (Informal numbering used in GFE six monthly report referenced on the locality page) in July 2009. The adit is safe and accessible for about 50m, but blocked by rockfall beyond this distance. Adit Entrance

This is the entrance to the Mian Adit, the door was put in place by S.A.Water to protect the pumping equipment inside the drive. A second adit entrance below this nearer to the creek level hes been filled in and is now lost from view.

Air vent

Orieco mine, Scamander district, Tasmania, Australia

The mine works follows the ridge some 40 metres below the top of the ridge. The air vent is located about half way along the Adit. The mineralized seam follows the ridge line for about 3 Kilometres.
