Headland of diorite intruding greywacke | |

Paritu, Colville, Thames-Coromandel, Waikato, North Island, New Zealand This forms the first of the contact zones where quartz-diorite has intruded greywacke. Beach is mainly formed of diorite boulders and copper staining and tourmaline clots are common in the contact zones. Note Low tide access only past this point |
