In fact, only the locals of 6 surrounding municipalities could work in this mine, by virtue of a charter dating the Middle Ages.

Square of the sorting and the Republique gallery

It is on this square that arrived the ore before its sorting. In the background, behind three trees, you can distinguish the entrance of the Republique gallery (the last one of the mine of Rancié).
