A view of Cathedral Mountain, a prominent landmark that is visible from most locations on the Woodward Ranch. The low, scrubby hills in the foreground are on the ranch itself. They may not look like much, but contain an abundance of beautiful plume agate, quartz-crystal geodes, gem labradorite, and other treasures.

A view across the hills of the Woodward Ranch, west side, with the higher mountains in the distance (my own photo taken in March, 2008). Many varieties of agate can be found in these low hills, as well as fluorescent calcite and aragonite.
