This is the fee dig area set up at the Oceanview Mine. Guests are provided buckets, shovels, screens and tubs to search through a large pile of tailings from both the Oceanview Mine and the nearby Elizabeth R. Mine. Elbaite, morganite, kunzite, schorl and quartz points are commonly recovered. |

This is the only mine I have ever been to that had a resident donkey. He is not used to haul rock – but is a pet, who roams around the property and checks out what the fee diggers are up to. |
