Looking across the top of the tip at Universal Colliery. The plant was brought to the site in the early 2000s during an attempt to rework the tip for its fine coal. Considered worthless at the time, it is now in demand for coal-fired power stations. For whatever reason, the attempt was unsuccessful and the plant was abandoned!
