Deep blue crusts of copper secondaries on the roof of a tunnel inside Cligga Mine. They usually represent mixtures of a variety of minerals, mainly sulphates, and are notoriously unstable. Ferrokesterite occurrence

Cligga Mine, Cligga Head, Perranzabuloe, St Agnes District, Cornwall, England, UK

Vein outcrop at the end of a tunnel extending from a stope on the base level. Analyses of samples collected from this vein in 2002 showed them to consist of arsenopyrite and ferrokesterite, with no stannite present. The field of view is about 2 m wide. P Haas photograph, April 2004.
