Adit

This adit goes for a short distance underground then forks. Both forks were short. There is no signs of any kind of sulfides. The area has historically produced lead but there was no signs of any minerals except white marble and crumbly granite. Beaver Chalcedony Area

This is the famous Beaver agate location looking east.
There was very little agate in this area. The black and blue agate was no where to be found.

Coke Kilns

Horn Silver Mine, Frisco, San Francisco District (Frisco District), San Francisco Mts, Beaver Co., Utah, USA

Old coke ovens at the site of Frisco, Utah. Frisco was one of the west's liveliest mining camps during the 1880's, when the fabulous Horn Silver Mine was yielding silver, lead, copper, and zinc worth many millions.

Compressor Tank

Lincoln District, Needle Range, Beaver Co., Utah, USA

Compressor tank underground in the adit at the bottom of the canyon. There is no way to get it out as the ceiling as partially collapsed. The smell of gun powder is still strong in the area as there is no air circulation here.

Creole Mine Adits

Creole Mine, Lincoln District, Needle Range, Beaver Co., Utah, USA

The two entrances to the Creole mine. The upper has several adits off the main one. The one to the left had a mountain lion den about 100 feet in. That ended out exploration of that area.
There was by far better collecting on the dumps and just to the right of the entrance than underground.
