Ruggles mine, Grafton, Grafton Co., New Hampshire, USA The entrance into the big, open pit of Ruggles Mine is through a downward sloping tunnel. Around the rear wall are some exposed adits from earlier mining. It's an impressive hole when standing in the floor looking up. Photo taken August 2004. |
