Låven (Skådön; Lamö; Lamanskjaer), Langesundsfjorden, Larvik, Vestfold, Norway Small yellow aggregates of låvenite in nephelinesyenite pegmatite in situ in the type locality peghmatite on Låven island. The Låven Island is the type locality for aegirine, astrophyllite, catapleiite, låvenite, leucophanite, mosandrite and tritomite-(Ce). Type locality for aegirine | |

Låven (Skådön; Lamö; Lamanskjaer), Langesundsfjorden, Larvik, Vestfold, Norway On the small island of Laaven at the entrance of Langesundsfjord, this is the exact type locality for aegirine. Enough left, but it's a strictly protected locality. The shoe is size 46/11.5. June 2007. Laaven is also the type locality for astrophyllite, catapleiite, lavenite, leucophanite, mosandrite, tritomite-(Ce). |
