Cwmdaren Mine (Cwm Darren Mine; Lefel Gopor Mine; Copper Level Mine; Twll y Mwyn Mine), Pen-bont Rhydybeddau, Trefeirig, Ceredigion (Dyfed; Cardiganshire), Wales, UK

Extensive workings on the east slope of Darren hill. The course of the lode was traced over a distance of more than half a mile across the hill, initially from an open cut which is still visible near the summit. The large dump down in the valley marks the site of Level Coed, that was driven around 1840 in an attempt to revive the mine. P Haas ...
