Herrebøkasa, Aspedammen, Idd, Halden, Østfold, Norway For some weeks during the summer of 2005, collectors could enter the quarry and dig in the old dumps - normally laying inaccessable under water. After a couple of months the water level was back to normal. |

Herrebøkasa, Aspedammen, Idd, Halden, Østfold, Norway In these druses, crystal filled pockets of smokey quartz were found. Good specimens of fluorite, albite (var: cleavelandite) and muscovite also came out. Som collectors spent a lot of time trying to empty the pockets before the water again filled the quarry. |

Herrebøkasa, Aspedammen, Idd, Halden, Østfold, Norway In 2005 the water level of the main quarry was very low after most of the water had been used by firefighters to stop a fire in the forest nearby. This gave collectors the opportunity to enter parts of the quarry that had been under water for decades. |
