Dimensions: 2 cm x 1.5 cm x 1 cm

Uraninite surrounded by "Gummite" – approx 2 x 1.5 x 1 cm sliced section of black uraninite and “gummite” which could be a mixture of altered uranium minerals which may include schoepite, uranophane, kasolite, soddyite, fourmarierite, or becquerelite. This specimen registers 160,000 cpm on a Ludlum Model 3 w/ 44-9 probe.

Uraninite Autunite "Gummite" – close-up of an exceptionally rich approx 6 x 3.5 cm matrix consisting of dendrites of dense black uraninite and a mixture of other uranium mineralization (gummite) with brown cyrtolite crystals. This piece registers approx 320,000 cpm on a Ludlum Model 3 w/ 44-9 probe.

Quartz matrix partially coated on all sides with yellow micro crystals of phosphuranylite. Under magnification distinct crystals are easily seen. Originally collected by Ray and Alvin Schortmann ca. 1938-40. Ex. R. D. O'Donnell collection #F-36. Overall size of mineral specimen: 6.5x3x3 cm.

9 x 1 x 5 cm Slab of colorful secondary uranium alteration product. Uraninites are the small black cores in yellow to orange gummite. Abundant dark brown zircon in matrix. Collected Circa 1940 by Schortmann's Brothers' Mineral Company. Fine old-time Specimen: Very Radioactive as Well!!
