Ore stringer.

Spoil heaps

The dumps at Virtuous Lady mine, looking northward with the Tamar river to the left. The dumps contain a variety of material, however where these have fallen into the river the shales have been washed away leaving lumps of mineral rich (pyrite, arsenopyrite) material the size of footballs. Whim Stone

Horse whim stone made from a dark fine grained granite found in the middle of a whim platform about 25feet diameter.
The divisions on the survey pole are 50cm.

Horse whim stone (the peg hole is shallow and squared, maybe it had little use compared to the other stone found) made of a pale, medium grained granite.
The divisions on the survey pole are 50cm.
