A superb old-time classic miniature showing sharp rare tetrahexahedral groupings of native copper crystals, the largest measuring to 0.8 x 0.6 x 0.6 cm in size. Size: 4.4 x 3.3 x 1.9 cm.

5.0 x 2.8 x 1.3 cm. A classic, old-time copper specimen from the historic Phoenix Mine of Michigan’s Copper Country. This superb, two sided miniature is a sculptural arborescent cluster of very sharp copper crystals with a nice patina. Most of the crystals on this specimen are tetrahexahedrons, but his fine piece features at least one rare, 3 mm, dodecahedral crystal on the middle, left side of the cluster. Ex. In the group, the crystals show especially sharp crystal faces. The surface of the faces had resisted the passage of time and they are practically free of any alteration.

1.9 x 1.1 x 0.7 cm. Cubic copper crystals are RARE from Michigan’s Copper Country, but this cute and aesthetic thumbnail is LOADED with elongated, stacked cubes in a dentritic pattern. The black tenorite coating and the bit of quartz add a very nice touch to this very fine and sculptural old-timer from the famous Phoenix Mine. Ex. Seaman Museum Collection.

5.2 x 3.4 x 1.8 cm. A sharp, textbook crystal of exceptional form, possibly twinned. This crystal is free-floating above matrix of quartz and prehnite, anchored by a few robust tentacles of copper wire to the matrix below. Ex. Helmut Bruckner Collection.
