The big pegmatite | |

Sagåsen Quarry (Sagasen Quarry; Strandåsen Quarry; Saga 3 Quarry), Sagåsen (Strandåsen), Mørje, Porsgrunn, Telemark, Norway Section on the floor of the quarry where the wire saw have cut through the large pegmatite. A small stream of water made the photo look a little blury, but also showed how nice the pegmatite looks. FOV is about 1m x 0,75m. Taken 10. May 2008. |

Foto was taken in 2005, shortly after the end of the great days, the return of which we are longing for! |

Most interesting part of the quarry when picture was taken is the level beneath the drill-rigs. the large pegmatite that occured in 2003 can be seen near the bottom of the level under that again. |
