Adit entrance

The somewhat 'tinny' corrugated arching supporting the adit entrance. I didn't venture inside on this occasion, but I was told some weeks later (Russell Bulman pers. comm.) that some good baryte specimens had been recovered from here a few years before. October 2005,

Eagle crag mine

Eagle Crag mine is about 3 miles from Patterdale village following the path down the tranquil and picturesque Grisedale valley. The mine workings stretch all the way from the bottom to the top the impressive Eagle Crag, and can be seen from way down the valley. Taken September 2008.

This is at the higher workings just behind the bridge & sand dump in the other photo and would tie in with the base of the demolished building being an engine house. Aug, 2005.
