AGC-KU2Stibnite : Sb2S3

Wuning Mine, Qingjiang, Wuning Co., Jiujiang Prefecture, Jiangxi Province, China

Dimensions: 21.2 cm x 11.5 cm x 6.2 cm

21.2 x 11.5 x 6.2 cm. An exquisite cluster from mining about 3-4 years ago that have by all acknowledgements produced the finest stibnites in the world since the ancient Japanese finds, now long gone. These brilliantly metallic crystals are so sharp and lustrous, they look machined. This particular specimen is one of the more robust clusters I have seen, with broad, fat crystals to 1 inch wide, in an elegant spray.

Dimensions: 9.7 cm x 5.9 cm x 3.2 cm

9.7 x 5.9 x 3.2 cm. A unique and amazing "arch" of stibnite crystals! Though contacted at the ends, this is such a far cry from the usual specimen that you just have to love it.

MK7-GFJStibnite : Sb2S3, Baryte : BaSO4

Wuning Mine, Qingjiang, Wuning Co., Jiujiang Prefecture, Jiangxi Province, China

Dramatic spraying crystals of Stibnite with Baryte on matrix!
This is one of the more aesthetic and eye catching Stibnite specimens I've seen recently.
The crystals are also in good shape which is definately not common since Stibnite bruises easily.
From the Wuling Mine, Jiangxi Province of China.
Measures 10.2 cm by 14 cm by 12 cm in size.

T7C-WDTStibnite : Sb2S3

Wuning Mine, Qingjiang, Wuning Co., Jiujiang Prefecture, Jiangxi Province, China

Dimensions: 12.6 cm x 6.2 cm x 3.6 cm

Stibnite
Wuling Mine, Jiujiang Prefacture, Jiangxi Prov., China
12.6x 6.2x 3.6 cm

A few years back, the best stibnite being found was coming from the Xikuangshan mine, in neighboring Hunan Province. About a year and a half ago, amazing Ichinokawa-esque pieces started coming out of Jiangxi--and they lacked the striations and wear visible in so many of the earlier Hunan specimens. Here is a very beautiful cabinet specimen from that find, will all the crystals terminated--including the smaller ones.

Wuning Mine, Qingjiang, Wuning Co., Jiujiang Prefecture, Jiangxi Province, China

Dimensions: 8.4 cm x 1.6 cm x 1.1 cm

8.4 x 1.6 x 1.1 cm. All of the terminations on the display side of this fine stibnite specimen are complete, and the crystals have a superb bright metallic luster, in addition to a pleasingly aesthetic arrangement.

Multiple photos available
Wuning Mine, Qingjiang, Wuning Co., Jiujiang Prefecture, Jiangxi Province, China

There are lots of stibnite specimens, especially those from China. However, when I saw this one, I knew I was looking at an uncommon specimen. There was a smaller, slightly damaged spray on side that I removed to fully explose this starburst of crystals. No repairs, no damage, each crystal has its own perfect termination. Crystals up to 9 cm long. Collection and photo: Albert Russ.

Wuning Mine, Qingjiang, Wuning Co., Jiujiang Prefecture, Jiangxi Province, China

Dimensions: 10.3 cm x 1.9 cm x 1.8 cm

Stibnite from Wuning Mine, Jiangxi

A thick, prismatic, extraordinarily brilliant, and very well defined crystal. The fine striations on the faces of the prism contrast with the perfect flatness of the faces of the termination. A few more minor crystals add balance to the specimen.
