Hi,
My name is George, but my friends call me Eric.
I am an OAP who has returned to a hobby I first came to love 50 years ago, but which I gave up due to the usual pressures of marriage, family, work, mortgage etc.
Now I have more time to spare, I find my old fascination with minerals has returned.

Until recently I used to collect with a neighbour, a good friend by the name of Robin Chapman, but he seems to have grown old prematurely and given up collecting now. Some of his finds are still posted on my gallery.
These days I go collecting on my own, just me and my dog, and I still stick to the old rules, -- I collect what I find myself. I do not buy or sell.
I have a modest collection of Cornish minerals, mostly of the microscopic variety.
Unfortunately many of them are unidentified, so I am not able to post them on mindat.
Even at my advanced years I am still able to walk for miles and clamber over rock-heaps. My hobby gets me and my dog 'Rocky' outdoors a lot, and helps to keep us both fit.
