I live in Germany and collect minerals since 1965. I started like many other collectors with a systematic collection. After my first visit to Iceland in 1971 my interest focused more on zeolites and since many years I collect only mineral samples from zeolite locations. (But there are exceptions: Apatite, Boracite, Olivine-crystals ....)

This is not really a big restriction, as zeolites are wide distributed in our geosphere. My zeolite collection must contain in the range of 4-5000 specimen ( never counted) but only about 50 % are filed, the others wait, some since decades, in drawers with the location on it, to be photographed, filed, and exchanged with other collectors or added to the collection.

I am a field collector and made trips in Germany and to many places of the North atlantic basalt province, NW-US, locations in France, Italy , Canary islands, Cyprus und recently Il de la Reunion.

From this trips I have many Zeolite specimens for trade (exchange) - for zeolite samples I don´t have.

As I am limited in space I started recently also to trade off my all the „systematic“ specimens. Some can be seen in mindat. If you are interested mail me. See also:

I know my Zeolite page needs an update.
