6G7-E2WFluorite : CaF2

GenLime Group L. P. quarry, Genoa, Ottawa Co., Ohio, USA

This dull medium brown cube with clear epitaxial corner overgrowths on dolomite with minor marcasite is an uncommon find for the locality. Rarely do fluorite crystals in Ohio have corner overgrowths of this type on all corners of the central cube without the overgrowths connecting or forming a shell over the 1st generation of Fluorite. This fluorite crystal measures 4 mm on edge.
