Collector specializing in secondary Cu, Zn and Pb minerals.
Looking for well cristallized classics. My favorite pieces are the one that combine crystals, aestethics, history and scientific interests.
I started to collect at 5 (more than 35 years ago), but only in these last 10 years, I started to collect "seriously". A few years ago, when my standard levels raised, I decided to specialize in Zn, Pb, Cu secondaries, a kind of mineralogy I like a lot. To allow to release all other speciments for trade targetting secondaries.
I am still a "young collector", and I was not active during Morocco, Tsumeb and Mexico Heydays, unfortunately...
Currently working at big challenge, I need more time for travel, fieldwork and minerals. So I am currantly developping it as a part time professionnal activity. To be specialized allows me to be both a dealer and collector since I will never have pain while letting go the best zilver, tourmaline, becquerellite or carollite that could go into my hands. But for minerals in my field, I might keep significant speciments and will continue to search very actively after them... So the rules are clear to avoid interest conflicts. I might still focus on a narrower field to make new activities sustainable
I hope to be ready to start seriously dealership activities beginning 2013. That deadline might be a bit too optimistic however! The building of a new plane is always more time than predicted, patience is essential in this field.
By then, I should have gathered enough great speciments, and enough freedom to enter the game seriously! The exploration of new deposit is also one of the challenges I am working at. Although I have an heavy scientific background, 10 years at university (pharmacist, pharmacologist, specialist in clinical biology and medical analyses), my academic life did not bring me a lot of mineralogical knoweledge. 35 years of growing passion braught some knoweledge, increasing slowly day after day...
Minerals belong to a world of beauty, unexplored by most, it is not surprising many nature lovers, scientifics, or simply anybody enjoying beauty, when discovering this world, will decide to come back...
In my favorite section, I selected a few speciments that are not in my collection, but of speciments I would like to enter my home or one of my troves
