Old quarry, Dundas Quarry, West Flamborough Township, Wentworth Co., Ontario, Canada

Dimensions: 6 cm x 6 cm x 4 cm

Galena Crystals on Marcasite found in 1966 by Reiner Mielke in the second pit opened up by Canada Crushed Stone south of Hwy 5. It came from a sulphide vein that is currently buried under the ramp leading to the gatehouse.
Size of the specimen is 6x6x4cm

8HR-Y1RZircon (Var: Cyrtolite) : Zr[(SiO4),(OH)4], Pyrrhotite : Fe7S8, Chalcopyrite : CuFeS2, Allanite

MacDonald Mine, Monteagle Township, Hastings Co., Ontario, Canada

What I presume is allanite (23mm) is lustrous, black mildly radioactive and on weathered surface has greenish colour. Occurs with zircon, chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite. This was part of a large hunk of pyrrhotite I broke up for specimen recovery.
