I am a German mineral collector, living North of Barcelona in Spain, between the High Pyrenees Mts. and the Mediterranean Sea. I had bee hunting, buying and exchanging minerals since I was a kid - and that's quite a few days ago. I had always been amazed by the perfection of crystals, their forms and their colors and I have always loved to hunt rocks.

As I had been working and travelling all over the world, I had the opportunity to collect in many of the famous mineral localities in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America and to assemble a collection of almost 8.700 fine specimen, thereof 1.250 fluorites. Due to space problems and because of personal reasons I sold this collection a few years ago.

Since about 12 years I am focussing on feldspars (of which I built a 700+ specimen collection of perfect and showy minerals) and I have assembled a large collection of only Moroccan minerals, thereof many specimen from the good old days of active mining. Apart from those 2 main collections I am focussing on fine Spanish minerals. I collect in Northern Spain, Southern France and in Morocco.

I am the author of the world's most comprehensive monography on fluorites, titled: "Fluorite - Data, facts, worldwide occurrences" (in German), describing about 5.540 fluorite localities. I am one of the moderators and authors of the leading German-language website "www.Mineralienatlas".
