I started collecting minerals in 1967, when my cousin first brought me to Herkimer, NY. Once I dug that first quartz crystal I was hooked for life! I took a break from minerals while in college and early in my working career. I restarted my collection around 1995 with a focus on worldwide classic localities. I've since narrowed my focus to old specimens from Germany and Italy, from where my paternal and maternal grandparents emigrated to the US.

I decided to get out of the corporate world in 2003, and I am now a mineral dealer (Edwards Minerals) and a consultant working from home. My two sons are also interested in collecting and they work for me at shows in Houston and Springfield.
