I collect as half of the team of Gail and Jim Spann. Jim and I both share a strong passion for minerals, mineral collecting, and mineral people. We believe in education and sharing our passion for the hobby.
I am a strong believer in enticing more women into the mineral world and spend time mentoring and hosting the women's forum.
I have recently begun trying my hand at painting minerals, something I am quite enjoying.
We are members of the Connecticut Valley Mineral Club, the Mineralogical Association of Dallas ( MAD ) and numerous other groups. I currently serve on the advisory board of the (Perot) Dallas Museum of Nature and Science and both Jim and I serve on the mineral committee.
I am the current coordinator of MAD for 2012. I also moderate the women's forum, along with Ida Chau, for Mindat.

The well known Barlow Stibnite
	Many people remember this as the stibnite on pages 14,15 and 16 in Barlow's book. Oddysey of a mineral is the title of the story about this intriguing piece. We have found the missing pieces of the story and truly appreciate this specimen.
