I am a lifetime mineral collector with a fundamental understanding of the processes that form the magnificent minerals that mother earth has gifted to us. I collect calcites and am enamored by the plethora of forms and associations. Over the past 8 years I have focused exclusively on Tsumeb. To support my hobby, I began dealing on the internet and showing at local shows in Pennsylvania. I moved to Wilmington North Carolina in 2007 and am now showing at the Hickory NC, Knoxville TN, Springfield MA, Houston TX, Denver Co, and Tucson shows as Geokrazy Minerals). I absolutely love the thrill of the hunt, as I search for great deals on aesthetic specimens for re-sale. Mineral collectors are some of the nicest people on the planet, and I welcome anyone with an interest to visit my collection on their way to the beaches (20 minutes away).

WAR-6NECalcite : CaCO3, Malachite : Cu2(CO3)(OH)2

Multiple photos available
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia

An elongated rhombohedral crystal cyclically twinned with a second generation of druise and a third generation of clear axially oriented growth. A small nodule of malachite at the bottom, but the color appears a bit too blue to be caused by the malachite, so perhaps conichalcite inclusions(?). Anyone with information relative to this find (level, pocket size, specimens recovered, etc) please contact me! Dimensions are 8cm X 4.5cm X 3.8cm .

UYE-337Calcite : CaCO3, Mottramite : PbCu(VO4)(OH)

Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region, Namibia

A 24 X 14 X 7.8cm specimen I have dubbed "the boot". A partially hollow solid calcite matrix hosts 4cm lenticulated striated rhombohedrons which are entirely coated on the back and along the fringes with iron oxide (hematite). The hollow portion is fully encrusted with arboreal mottramite, which also underlies the calcites on the front of the specimen. From the Norm and Roz Pellman collection.

4LC-ETKCalcite : CaCO3, Hematite : Fe2O3

Stank Mine, Barrow, Cumbria, England, UK

A specimen that graced the show cases at the 2008 Springfield show and from the Minette collection. 13.7 X 5.5 X 7cm.

GG3-PY5Calcite : CaCO3

Annabel Lee mine, Harris Creek Sub-District, Illinois - Kentucky Fluorspar District, Hardin Co., Illinois, USA

A huge 24cm X 7cm X 14cm cluster of needle like aggregates in divergent sprays. The largest bundle is 12cm. Natural petroleum partially coats the bottom of the specimen.

85L-GCUCalcite (Var: Manganoan Calcite) : (Ca,Mn)CO3, Limonite : FeO(OH)·nH2O

Cavnic Mine, Cavnic, Maramureș Co., Romania

A fascinating specimen of mangano calcite with a feathery surface texture. Scalenohedrons are covered by secondary growth rosettes which, in turn, are peppered with thousands of dark brown cubic crystals believed to be pyrite pseudomorphed to limonite. 19cm X 10cm X 8cm
