“A somewhat strange specimen with a subhedral schorl crystal in quartz surrounded by indicolite (i.e. blue tourmaline) grains. The indicolite is XRD confirmed, but it is impossible to distinguish the different members of the tourmaline group by XRD only; most likely it is an elbaite. I collected it in June 2018 on the ROM pad of the Murrua Mine. Any collecting at the mine is prohibited, the mining concession is fenced in and heavily guarded. ”
