SEM image. Analyzed fragments of larger crystal of Hydroxylbastnäsite-(La) from pseudomorphose after unknown mineral in Biotite-Feldspar granite pegmatite. Note perfect cleavage of the mineral. Analytical data for this grains are available on daughter photos. The specimen was supplied by Torben Kjeldgård. Pavel M. Kartashov analytical data, collection and photo.

ED spectrum of Hydroxylbastnäsite-(La) from Tuftane Quarry. Note complete absence of peaks belong to Ce in the spectrum, what make its REE pattern very unusual. Apparently formation of this Hydroxylbastnäsite-(La) took place after oxidation of Ce"' to Ce"" and its precepitation as cerianite-(Ce). Recalculated empirical formula of the mineral is (La0.61Nd0.23Y0.09Pr0.05Sm0.02)1.00[CO3](OH0.92F0.08)1.00. The specimen was supplied by Torben Kjeldgård. Pavel M. Kartashov analytical data, collection and photo.

Light-pink crystals of Hydroxylbastnäsite-(La) in cavities within the pseudomorphose after unknown mineral in Biotite-Feldspar granite pegmatite. The mineral is transparent, lustrous, glassy, with light-pink coloration, caused by Nd content in absence of Ce. Analytical data are available on daughter photos. FOV is ~7x5 mm. The specimen was supplied by Torben Kjeldgård. Pavel M. Kartashov analytical data, collection and scan.

Scan in slightly different direction of the same place of the specimen. FOV is ~9x6 mm. The specimen was supplied by Torben Kjeldgård. Pavel M. Kartashov analytical data, collection and scan.
