Porcelain-like mass of halloysite, which is a mixture of halloysite-7A and halloysite-10A. Both minerals are now renamed to hydrohalloyste and to halloysite respectively to the new nomenclature of CNMNC. The reddish colour is due to iron oxides (probably mostly hematite). Collection & photo Martin Rich. Nikon D5100, Mikro-Nikkor 85 mm 1:3.5 SG. Camera remote with digiCamControl. Combine ZP (stack of 5 images - do stack).
