Polished section of huge zonal crystal of Pyrochlore from nephelin-syenite pegmatite. Associated minerals are black rounded inclusion of Ilmenite crystal (at the center of the bottom part of sample), dark-green Aegirine grain at the right part of sample. The sample size is 7.5x5.4x3 cm, weight 219.9 g, and radioactivity is 324 μR/h. Analytical data are available at the daughter photo. Collected by Arkady G. Zhabin in the end of 50th. Pavel M. Kartashov analytical confirmation, collection and scan.

EDX spectrum of Fluorcalciopyrochlore from Karavai Mt. Empirical formula of the mineral recalculated from this analysis (Ca1.12Na0.84)1.96(Nb1.80Ti0.20)2.00(O5.48OH0.52)6.00(F0.96OH0.04)1.00. Primary Fluorcalciopyrochlore during hydratation and hydrothermal leaching of fluorine was replaced by Hydroxycalciopyrochlore of composition (Ca0.98Na0.86U0.01)1.85(Nb1.81Ti0.19)2.00(O5.27OH0.73)6.00(OH0.51F0.49)1.00. As we can to see, composition of B group stay unchanged, while Ca is leached and partially replaced by U (up to 0.90 mas.% UO2) in group A, and hydroxyle replace F parallely to replacing of O by OH. Collected by Arkady G. Zhabin in the end of 50th. Pavel M. Kartashov analytical confirmation, collection and scan.
